CWW: Beginning new traditions

With our move we have had to adjust to many different things.  One of those things is we live a bit further from campus then our previous college.  This really isn't a big deal at all, but it does make it a bit more challenging for coach to run home for meals.  On Tuesday and Wednesdays practice is late in the evening so we have adjusted and now bring dinner to the office on Tuesdays.  This is something similar to what we have done on other campuses, but there is one difference here.  I'm the only one cooking :)  Our other wives are mostly living out of state this season as our transition was such an abrupt one.  This leaves a lot of bachelor coaches, my coach and another wife who has a very demanding job where she travels a lot.

Because I'm the only one cooking I get to set the rules :), so the plan is to cook for the whole staff one week, then just our family the other, and so on.  There are only 7ish weeks left in the season, so it's only 3 full meals for our staff.  My plan as of now is Chicken Philly Sandwiches, Chili and Corn Bread Casserole, and Chicken Enchilada Casserole.

  1. What a great idea, Beth! You have done such a great job creating community at your various programs, and I love to see/hear how you are doing that at BC as well. Cooking for the whole staff is daunting (I remember those days LOL) but you are a gracious partner in this journey and its awesome to see how you've carved out time for the "whole" family and your family in each of the alternating weeks. I love reading about your journey!
