CWW: Caramel Rolls


We are looking down the road to a rough season, but that's what happens when you take over a program in June.  So, in an effort to celebrate the little things I came up with a way to love on our guys weekly.  This is not an original idea, but our award criteria is.  

The last practice of the week which is today for this week our coaches will award a position group with "Mrs. W's famous caramel rolls".  This award will be given to the group that not only had a great week on the field, but also had good attitudes and most importantly were servant leaders to their teammates.  

Last week the position group showed exactly why they earned their rolls, they passed out their prize and shared leftovers with other teammates.  

Caramel Roll Recipe:

  • 20-24 frozen dinner rolls
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 ounces cook and serve butterscotch pudding mix
Night before: Place frozen rolls in greased 9x13 pan. Heat butter and brown sugar until melted. Add pudding mix and stir well. Pour pudding mixture evenly over rolls. Cover with lid or greased plastic wrap. Let rise overnight. Bake 350 20-30 min

 (in our case as these are awarded at 6 in the evening I put them in the pans at 10 am.)

  1. Do you leave the rolls out on the counter overnight? (you can tell how little experience I have with frozen rolls! LOL) These sound good for upcoming weekend surprise breakfasts.
