Book Review: Anything

Back in January I took the recommendation of a fellow coach's wife to read Jennie Allen's book Anything.  I cannot say enough good things about this book.

1) Amazingly written
2) Incredibly challenging
3) SO tender and loving
4) Biblical truth throughout

There were moments in this book where I found myself wanting to hug the author, to say thank you, and mostly to ask for more.

Allen weaves her family's story of adoption and surrender to the desire of knowing Jesus more in such a beautiful way it would be impossible not to identify with part of her story. Allen takes the reader back to early life memories, introducing you to her husband, showing you the path they took to ministry and most importantly giving a window into the amazing opportunities the Allen family has been given to serve God.  I found myself at times jealous for this life of surrender, and yet at the same time, Allen does a wonderful job of making it clear, we are all able to attain the same surrender as their family.

If you are looking for a great book to help you better understand the depth of what relationship with Jesus can be, this is the book for you.
