Coach's World Wednesday: SUMMER!!

That guy with the ball, yeah, that's the head coach, that guy w/the bit T on his shirt, that's an assistant coach.  For the last few spring ball practices the coaches were right in there with our team keeping them motivated with shoulder to shoulder activity.

We are really excited to have a bit of a break, 8 weeks to be exact! 8 weeks of less work, day trips, and a few fun over night adventures.  So, what does summer look like for a D3 coach's family you ask?  Well, no 2 summers are the same, but this summer looks like it will be filled with the following:

swim lessons
at least 2 weekends away
working a football camp
trip to see family
learning to ride a 2 wheeler
learning to read
a trip to 6 flags
the boys first trip to the Muny to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat
trips to the zoo, pottery hollow, and the transportation museum
keeping up with Bridge Workbooks, Awana verses and summer reading program at the library
at least one night camping the back yard (boys only :))

That's actually quite a lot to squeeze into 8 weeks, and we will soak up ever minute.  And while we aren't participating in any of the list above, I will be working 14 hours (ish) a week, and my husband will be "keeping the ship running" with all the details of preping for pre-season.  Oh yeah and we'll be hosting several bbq's also!  Gotta keep those coaches and players fed! :)
