Book Review: With: Reimaging the way you relate to God

So, in full disclosure, I have heard a lot about author Skye Jethani prior to reading this book. Additionally, I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.

This book rocked! Rarely do you come across a book that speaks specifically to the person who has grown up in a Christian home, that isn't a "how to" book. Jethani balances Biblical truth with life experience in a way that is relatable to anyone. What I most appreciated about this book is that Jethani wasn't afraid to point out the pros AND cons of different aspects of a Christian walk. Jethani speaks to the reader about different points each Christian explores along their personal journey with Jesus, and brings scripture in to not only support his points, but lift the veil on specifics taught along the way.

The beginning of this book presents 4 postures that allow for an incomplete relationship with Christ. The remainder of the book presents how scripture writes a story of God desiring to be WITH humans, and what that looks like. Jethani clearly presents the Trinity and how we relate to all aspects of it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, specifically those working with college students.
