Extra Cash

Several years ago while we were guest at a fellow coach's house I noticed the most beautiful coasters.  The were made of stone, and each had a Bible Verse on them.  I was thrilled to discover the secret to having my own custom coasters was going to be cheap and easy.

Although set up can be expensive if you don't currently own stamps, the materials needed for this project are:

Floor tiles
paint or StazOn Ink
Polyurethane spray
felt pads (pre-sticky) or felt to protect the bottom of the coaster.

Make sure the tiles are clean and dry.  Stamp your design on the coaster and allow it to dry completely.  Spray 3 layers at least 2 hours apart.

Put protective pads on the bottom of the tiles.

I have been able to sell these coasters for a fair price at 2 local consignment stores.  In addition, I give Monogramed sets as wedding presents and have received additional orders from happy receivers.

Although this is an example, there is a skill or a favorite craft that we all have that can be used to bring some fun money into the monthly budget.
