Banana Bars

Growing up we had Banana Bars just as often as Banana Bread.

2 C flour
1 1/2 c white sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 c softened butter
1 tsp baking soda 
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 egg
1/2 c sour cream
2 overripe bananas, mashed

Combine all but egg sour cream and bananas.  Create a crumble mixture.  Reserve 1/2 c for crumb topping.  Then take 1-1/2 cups and press into bottom of 9x13 pan.  With remaining crumble add remaining ingredients and make a batter.  Add to pan, then top with crumb topping.  Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.


ps-I've also made this recipe with fat free sour cream and splenda products and whole wheat flour.  It was good too.
